Coniglio, trombone
Our
newest member, Wayne Coniglio was bass trombonist and contributing arranger for Ray Charles and his Orchestra for
8 world tours (1989 thru 2001).
He has performed with The Village Vanguard Orchestra, Toshiko Akiyoshi, The Mingus Band, Chico O'Farrill's Latin Jazz Dream Band, The Scott Whitfield Orchestra, Many Shows on Broadway, The Fox Theater in St Louis, The MUNY in St Louis and much more.
He has been a YAMAHA Artist / Clinician for ten years.
He also plays string bass with his girlfriend's band, Elsie Parker and The Poor People of
Paris.
Wayne has been writing music for thirty years, starting with transcribing Glen Miller's "Moonlight Serenade" in 7th grade for the stage
band at Longview Elementary School in Phoenix. He has written for The Kevin Kline Awards Show (2006 - 2009), Ray Charles, Elsie Parker
and The Poor People of Paris, The MUNY in St Louis, The Pratt Brothers Big Band, The Steve Shankman Orchestra, The Tommy Money
Orchestra, Jim Manley, The Big Apple Circus and prior to joining the group, wrote several fantastic arrangements for the Gateway
Brass Quintet.
